Product Description

Composite ceramic steel pipe is a new type of composite material manufactured by the self-propagating high-temperature synthesis method (SHS). The product uses the aluminothermic reaction to exothermicly melt the reactants, separating Al2O3 and Fe under centrifugal force. It consists of a corundum ceramic layer, a transition layer, and a steel pipe layer, forming a firm metallurgical bond at temperatures above 2000 ℃.

Advantages
  • High Wear Resistance: Corundum ceramic layer (AL2O3) ensures long-term durability.
  • Low Running Resistance: Smooth inner surface reduces friction.
  • Cost-Effective: Light weight reduces handling and support costs (20-30% cheaper than wear-resistant steel).
  • Temperature Resistance: Operates normally from -50°C to 900°C.
  • Easy Installation: Supports connection via welding or flanges.
Application
Pipe Application

Ceramic lined pipes are essential in industries like mining, power generation, oil & gas, and chemical processing. They protect systems from abrasion and corrosion in the harshest environments.

They are also used where hygiene and chemical neutrality are required, as the ceramic lining is non-toxic and non-reactive. Shapes include elbows, tees, and reducers to fit specific engineering needs.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the main material used in the ceramic lining?
The lining is made of high-quality corundum ceramic (Al2O3), which is formed at temperatures exceeding 2000°C for maximum hardness.
Can these pipes be welded during installation?
Yes, one of the key advantages of our composite ceramic steel pipe is that it can be processed by welding, as well as by flanges, making installation very convenient.
What is the temperature range for these pipes?
These pipes can operate efficiently in a wide temperature range from -50°C to 900°C without compromising structural integrity.
How does the cost compare to traditional wear-resistant pipes?
While providing better performance, the total engineering cost is 20-30% lower than traditional wear-resistant steel pipes due to lower weight and easier handling.
Are custom sizes available for specific industrial needs?
Yes, we support full customization of various sizes, including different diameters, wall thicknesses, and specialized shapes like elbows and reducers.
What industries benefit most from ceramic lined pipes?
Industries involving the transport of abrasive materials, such as mining (tailings), power plants (coal ash), and chemical processing, benefit significantly from the increased service life.
